Glad Tidings

Christmas is such a wonderful time of year with its bright lights and presents under the tree. There are lots of cookies, and treats, family get togethers; parties, and other festivities the whole month through, each of which can bring a fast busy pace, including shopping in anticipation of the ‘Big Day’.

Children everywhere look forward to Santa coming down the chimney with any number of Elven made toys! There are also movies and songs, and well, all kinds of joys!

But in this celebration let us not forget to ask ourselves a few very important questions like:

• Have we thought about the real reason we celebrate this wonderful holiday or Holy Day?
• Do we sometimes get lost and tied up in the thoughts and traditions of the season? Are we so busy with all of our obligations and expectations within these traditions that we forget the deeper meaning of Christmas?
• Do we understand why the event of our Savior’s birth is so crucial and ought to be revered? And that we are meant to find joy in celebrating His birth and His name?

Here we hope by sharing this work through our accompanying Book, Music, and fine works of Art, (each of which are able to be purchased at: CenteringChristmasInChrist.com) that you will indeed take the opportunity to remember and reflect on the original story of Christmas.

Indeed we hope you will be strengthened in your testimony or awareness of Jesus the Christ and so rediscover all of the joys that are found in celebrating His birth and His life of love and light.

Each section of the book is designed to easily allow individuals, families, and friends, the opportunity to sit together and experience messages based on the original nativity story on a weekly basis.

Every week, beginning with Thanksgiving Day, our book provides a new story or message to reflect on. Some are intentionally kept light and fun while others allow for a deeper understanding. There are five weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas, plus there is one special message for Christmas Day. That’s a total of six messages! In addition, each section of the book offers an original homemade recipe you can make at home!

We hope these weekly messages will enhance your understanding of Jesus Christ and how Christmas can provide more joy than the world alone affords.

There is real power in reading, hearing, and seeing works that uplift the human spirit. These help us open our hearts and minds. They enable us to more fully live what we feel.
